At Delaney Subaru, we’re always ready to step up and support our communities, especially in times of crisis. This commitment is at the heart of the Subaru Love Promise®. When Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated the Eastern region, Subaru retailers like us immediately sprang into action. Alongside other Subaru retailers, Subaru of America, and local organizations, we assessed the most urgent needs in the affected areas. It quickly became clear that local food banks were struggling to keep up with the surge in demand as they worked to support people hit hardest by the storms. In response, we teamed up with 67 Subaru retailers across the region to launch a $400,000 match campaign to aid the hurricane relief efforts of Feeding America®. Delaney Subaru proudly contributed $2500 to this initiative. While the immediate impact of the storms fades from the headlines, many of our neighbors continue to face long-term challenges like food insecurity, water shortages, power outages, and limited access to essential services. Thanks to the collective generosity of Subaru retailers and the communities we serve, an additional $18,427 was raised. This brings the total impact to $418,427, or over 4,100,000 meals for those in need. "As one of the nation's largest disaster relief organizations, the Feeding America network of food banks and partner agencies is deeply rooted in communities across the country. Together, our partnership with trusted Subaru dealers has helped expedite emergency food assistance and supplies to people who need it most. We are immensely grateful," said Feeding America Chief Development Officer Casey Marsh.

Once again, we celebrated one of the most fun months at a Delaney Subaru in October which is Subaru Loves Pets Months. This year like many years in the past we teamed up with Indiana County Humane Society to help the pets who are currently looking for the forever homes. We were able to provide new pet parents with kits to help with their new pets and also some fun toys to the rest of the shelter's current residents. We appreciate the hard work this shelter provides to all of the animals at the shelter and to those who choose to adopt from the shelter as well.

We enjoyed a great day with our friends from The Indiana County Humane Society at their annual Cause for Paws benefit. We were once again proud to be a Platinum sponsor at this event and help share in the education of pet rescue and adoption. The Delaney Subaru team was on site to help with set up and promote our commitment to the Loves Pet pillar. It was a beautiful day to showcase some current pets that are available for adoption at the shelter currently as well as a Duck Derby race, a fashion walk, and various other activities promoting pet adoption and rescue. Over all the day was a great success for the shelter!

We want to make a special shout out of gratitude and respect to all of the truck drivers on the road this week in honor of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week! Each Truck Driver does his/her job to keep food on our tables, shoes on our feet, or in our case at Delaney Subaru new Subarus on our lot and parts and supplies delivered to our parts/service departments. Without them we would not get to do our jobs! Meet a special driver who in honor of his services we got to surprise this week with a bag full of goodies, a new Yeti, and a VISA gift card that he can use on the road for whatever he likes! Derek had a little bit of an issue with one of the Subaru's that he delivered but stayed until it was unloaded, and everything was taken care of! We invited him in for potluck lunch but based on his delivery schedule he could only stay for a quick meet and greet of gratitude from our staff and to grab his goodie bag before he needed to be back on the road to make his next delivery! To Derek and all of the drivers out there we appreciate you and know that without all of you we could not provide the products and services to our customers! #NTDAW24 #delaneysubaru

Our 2024 Subaru Loves Learning School is Homer-Center Elementary School. We were happy to award 6 teachers with a monetary donation and supply box for their classrooms. The teachers and staff at Homer-Center Elementary School work very hard to provide a safe and fun learning environment for their students. We are happy to continue to donate local elementary schools in Indiana County and support the staff members who are shaping tomorrow's leaders. We hope that everyone has a safe and happy school year!

As part of our Loves Learning Promise, Delaney Subaru washappy to be able to donate and help at the 2024 Indiana County's Back to School Bash. Our team gathered school supplies, loaded them up in a Subaru, and delivered them to the donation site. Our boxes were full of pencils, highlighters, pencil bags, notebooks, and markers. Our donation was just a small portion of the other donations made by many other businesses and donors to help pack over 300 book bags full of school supplies to that were distributed at the event. We hope everyone has a great school year!

The Delaney Subaru took a road trip to the IRMC Cancer Center to round out June and Subaru Loves to Care month. Our team was able to deliver a Subaru Ascent full of blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope for the patients receiving treatment at the center. We are happy to be able to provide a little bit of comfort for our community members during this time. We would also like to thank the staff at IRMC's Cancer Center for providing care and compassion to the patients in Indiana County.

We would like to thank all of our customers who purchased or serviced during the 2023-2024 Share the Love Sales Event. The numbers are in and once again our customers chose big for our local charities. Check out these great pics of the Delaney Subaru team presenting the checks to one of two of our great hometown charities Indiana County Humane Society. The humans are great but Star an Australian Shepard mix pup stole the show! We really cannot say enough about the partnership that we have with this group. They really do a great job taking care of these animals at their worst time and helping to find their forever families. A special shoutout to Beth Finegan representing the shelter and also repping as one of our favorite Subaru Ambassadors. Thank you again to Indiana County Humane Society for another great year and for all of the work your team does for the community!

In preparation for our 2024 Earth Day Celebration we recently teamed up with some local Boy Scouts! Together with the team from Delaney Subaru and local Boy Scout troop we prepped and packed 300 Dog Wood Tree Saplings for our Delaney Subaru Earth Day Celebration. We enjoyed a fun evening of getting to know the kids and helped them complete a service project while we shared our commitment to Earth and being an Eco-Friendly Dealership.

We recently teamed up with YMCA of Indiana County to help hand out some new shoes, socks, and warm coats with the help of Operation Warm. Our team helped size and distributed these items as well as took part in a Valentines party for the registrants. Helping with project was part of our Subaru Loves to Help initiative proving that Subaru is really more than just a car company. We would like to thank the staff at the YMCA for hosting the location and for all their help! Our hope is that everyone’s winter will be just a little bit warmer! #operationwarm #SubaruLovestoHelp #delaneysubaru

December is a time when we remember so many. This year we teamed up with a project hosted by IUP ROTC and help collect personal care items for homeless veterans. Delaney Subaru focused on what of the most needed items which was deodorants for the stockings. With combined efforts with players from the Indiana JV and Varsity Hockey, Mars Hockey club, McDowell hockey club and the Indiana teams including IYHA 10u a large number of supplies, gift cards, and a monetary donation were able to be made to this great cause. Thank you to everyone involved.

Recently we had the honor of sponsoring Military Appreciation Night at the Ice rink with Indiana Hockey. Delaney Subaru sponsored the game and was able to be part of ceremonial puck drop honoring all of those who served past and present. We enjoyed a great evening of thanking some home town heroes and some great hockey courtesy of the Indiana JV and Varsity Hockey teams. Thank you to all of those who have served!

For the second year in a row, we invited some of our friends from Sunrise Human Services to help Deck the Halls at Delaney Subaru. We enjoyed an afternoon of holiday cheer and some snacks with them. We enjoyed spending some time with them as they helped us get ready for the holidays by helping us decorate the Christmas tree in the showroom and helping to decorate the customer waiting area. We always look forward to this day and once again they did a great job!

We did it! 31 pets in 31 days! Thank you to everyone who supported our Delaney Subaru💙 Loves Pets Adoption Event that benefited The Indiana County Humane Society! October is Loves Pets month and once again we teamed up with our friends from the Indiana County Humane Society and helped to promote animal adoption from their shelter. Our goal was 31 pets in 31 days, and we did it! Here are just a few pics of some happy pets and their new forever families!

Our Office Manager Nrenda got into helping Share the Love in the month of October for Breast Cancer awareness month. Nrenda is always looking for ways to help out the Subaru store in community involvement and decided that this topic was close to her heart as she walked in honor of three survivors of breast cancer survivors that she personally knows. Delaney Subaru was happy to sponsor her team of walkers at the IRMC Love of Life Walk and help to promote awareness and finding a cure. Thank you Nrenda for representing Delaney Subaru in this battle against cancer!
Kelly L.
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October our very own receptionist got involved in helping to cut our cancer. As many of you know Adryann is our daytime receptionist at the Subaru store but by night, she is hair stylist. Adryann is always looking for ways to help Delaney Subaru Share the Love, but many times does not get to go to events outside of the dealership because she is manning the front desk at the store. She was so excited when she had the opportunity to participate in a community event that only she could attend and participate in based on her salon skills. So, we sponsored Adryann to participate in River Valley High Schools Pink Out Assembly where students and teachers donated their hair to be transformed into wigs for those battling cancer. We would like to thank all of those who donated their hair and allowed Adryann and the members of London's Salon for partnering up to do this event! Thank you, Adryann, for representing Delaney Subaru and helping to Share the Love with those fighting cancer!

In honor of National Make a Dog's Day and Subaru Loves Pets month we joined up with the underdogs of Indiana County to help support and promote rescue animal adoption. We had a great day at Bark for the Arc of Indiana County at a large pet adoption event. The Arc of Indiana County provides help and support individuals and their families with disabilities in Indiana County, and they were great hosts to this awesome event! It was a great day of promoting Subaru Loves to Care and Subaru Loves Pets which are two of our Love Pillars. We met many great underdogs who are available for adoption and some who have already went home to their forever homes. Thank you to everyone at the Indiana County Humane Society and Four-Footed Friends of Indiana County who help make a dog's day every day!

We had the great pleasure of enjoying a day with one of our Share the Love Partners and celebrate in the ribbon cutting of the ICCAP's new food bank. We heard from many county officials and of course the awesome staff from ICCAP about the new opportunities that this allows the community of Indiana. We have been honored to work with everyone in this project and be part of this. In the process of setting up the new location there was a major setback in their progress. With the help of so many in the community and donations made from the public and corporate sector of Indiana County the foodbank was able to overcome this hurdle and move forward towards a new opening date. We would like to also thank everyone who helped at any level to be part of a much-needed service to our community!
Kelly L.
We had the pleasure of delivering school supplies to the faculty and students at Eisenhower Elementary School. They are our 2023 Subaru Loves Learning® AdoptaClassroom.org recipients. As many of you know this is well needed since they have been using Indiana Junior High School since they have been displaced from their building because of the fire. We enjoyed meeting with the students and faculty and learning what their plans are with the monetary portion of the donation and learning how it can really make a difference in so many classrooms. Our commitment to learning and helping the local youth and making even the simplest of donations as pencils and erasers is one of the most enjoyable days in our year. We wish everyone a successful school year!

Once again, we found ourselves teamed up with the wonderful volunteers and furry friends from the Indiana County Humane Society at their annual Cause for Paws Event at Blue Spruce Park. It was a beautiful fall day full of fun and wagging tails. We were able to help collect supplies in the back of the new Subaru Solterra as well as help spread the word on pet adoption and Subarus promise to support the underdogs. The crowd in attendance were able to enjoy some good food, take chances on baskets, participate in the pet parade and even enjoy a duck race to help raise funds for the shelter. As always, we would like to thank everyone in attendance for supporting this cause and the hardworking volunteers for all they do day in and day out to help the adoptable pets in Indiana County!

We are helping Pull together for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). We are collecting pull tabs in our service waiting area and showroom in donation containers. All pull tabs will be sent to the Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh where they will be weighed and cashed in. The funds generated will be used for items needed for families while they are staying there. While it may seem small, the ripple effect of small things can be extraordinary this also lines up with our Delaney Subaru Loves the Earth Promise.

On what our Service Advisors Vicki and Tammy thought would be another normal day at Delaney Subaru turned out to be a lucky day for a hurt pigeon. When Service advisor Vicki went outside to check on a service customers vehicle, she noticed a pigeon that seemed to be injured outside of the Delaney Subaru. Vicki took it some water and bird seed and went about her day. The next day she noticed that the pigeon was still in the same place and was unable to move one side of its wings as well as a band around its ankle. Vicki enlisted the help of our other Service Advisor Tammy to help get the bird into a box and bring it into the dealership. After a day's research about the band, we found out that the pigeon was actually a racing pigeon registered with a club out of Maryland. After Vicki contacted the club and learned more about how to take care of the pigeon until the owner could be contacted, we called our friends at the Indiana County Humane Society who lent us cage. Vicki, Tammy, and other members of the Delaney Subaru staff pitched in to get the correct feed and snacks for our new winged friend. After a few days it was decided that the pigeon was going to be unable to race again due to its wing injury. The next part is where our employee Vicki went the extra distance and really lived out what it meant to Love Pets. After consent and ownership release with the owner from Maryland Vicki became the new owner of a newly retired racing pigeon. She took the bird home and placed it in its new large cage and with the help of her granddaughter and husband they named the pigeon Laney. The goal and hope is that Laney can be rehabilitated and released if that is what the vet recommends. We would like to thank Vicky, Tammy, and everyone that helped to take care of Laney while he/she lived in the Service Lane at Delaney's for part of a week until it he/she went home with Vicki! It goes to show that our employees do really live the Love Promise!

The Delaney Subaru team was happy to be invited to the 1st Annual Barks and Brews Event supporting Four Footed Friends Shelter in Indiana County! We were happy to help support another great animal shelter and share in their efforts to help the underdogs of Indiana County! The evening was full of spirits, summer fun, great music, and of course barks! Jesse Collier from Delaney Subaru represented Delaney Subaru and helped to spread the word of pet adoption and support to those hometown heroes that help these animals in their greatest time of need while waiting for their forever home! We had a great time meeting everyone and supporting such a great cause!

We loved celebrating Christmas in July with our friends from the Indiana County Humane Society this year! We made some new friends and visited with some old ones at Sit N Stay Cafe in Downtown Indiana where we helped accept donations into the back of a new Subaru for our friends at the Indiana County Humane Society. Everyone was able to enjoy a sweet treat and drink and celebrate Christmas in July and receive a discount with their donation. Delaney Subaru Ambassador Beth Finegan and Holli a Sales Associate from Delaney Subaru were on site to help collect the donations for the shelter and spread our message to help the underdogs of Indiana County through Subaru Loves Pets® efforts!

June is Subaru Loves to Care® Month at Delaney Subaru and in honor of Subaru Loves to Care, our team made a special delivery to IRMC! Every year Subaru retailers including Delaney Subaru partner worth the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society® and deliver blankets to patients undergoing cancer treatments. By the end of this year Subaru dealers will have supported nearly 300,000 patients nationwide. Delaney Subaru and its team are committed to doing their part to support the patients at IRMC. We delivered blankets, patient care kits, and personalized messages of hope written by our employees and customers! We wish all of those effected by cancer and all the patients at IRMC recovery wishes! Thank you to the staff at IRMC for assisting in their journeys and being true front-line heroes in Indiana County! Love it what’s makes Delaney Subaru more than just a car company!

June 1st kicks off Subaru Loves to Care® Initiative! Our team chose to help support this cause by sponsoring a blood drive in honor of all of those fighting cancer! Donating blood is a simple way to help many in need and the need never goes away! We would like to thank everyone who came out to our Delaney Subaru Loves to Care Blood Drive at the Indiana Mall! We enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing some of our customers! A huge shout out to Karen Sistek and her team from American Red Cross for all the tireless work they put into these drives! To the donors including our very own Subaru Sales Manager, Mark Moses, you are the real heroes and truly helped to save lives!

One of our very own Delaney Subaru Ambassadors did her part on Earth Day this year! Ambassador Beth F. joined Delaney Subaru at the Friends of Whites Woods Earth Day Event as well as recycling plastic through the TerraCycle® program. She used her 2022 Subaru Forester to haul the recyclables. After so many pounds of plastic is recycled in this program TerraCycle turns it into a park bench. Currently Ambassador Beth is working on this project with the Indiana County Humane Society and all benches will be used on the walking trail at the shelter for dog walkers to rest at with the pet they are walking. A huge shout out to Beth for all of her amazing efforts to support the Earth and the brand!
Kelly L.
The Delaney Subaru team joined up with a local Boy Scout Troop who were also looking for an Earth Day Event and together our groups planted apple trees in an approved area on local State Game lands in Indiana County! We enjoyed working with the troop and look forward to working with them again. While our Earth Day Events may be over for this year our commitment to loving the Earth is never over. Yearlong Delaney Subaru collects and recycles all of its coffee pods, snack wrappers, and cups from our customer waiting areas as well as recycling filters from our service lane.

As part of our Earth Day 2023 celebrations, we celebrated with our Friends of Whites Woods for the second year in a row. It was cold and rainy but Emily one of our Sales Associates braved the weather along with our newest Subaru ambassador Beth! In the spirit of Earth Day, we loaded the hatch of the all-new Subaru Solterra with information on how Subaru Loves the Earth® and how Delaney Subaru is doing their part to make a difference in these efforts. We helped pass out trees, collect trash, and collaborate with other Earth preservation organizations in Indiana County to help the community understand how we can all do our part to save the Earth.
Kelly L.
In honor of Earth Day 2023 and our Love Promise® commitment to community and our Subaru Loves the Earth® pillar our staff braved the cold rainy conditions! Staff members Holli, Aaron, and Sale Manager Mark rolled up their sleeves and got to work alongside other volunteers in the community at an Earth Day inspired clean up event at one of Indiana's favorite spots...Blue Spruce Park! The chilly rainy morning didn't stop our team from helping to do some spring cleaning around the grounds. Evergreen Conservancy is local nonprofit organization in Indiana County that is committed to Indiana County's preservation and committed to keeping Indiana County as clean and green as possible! #lovestheearth23

We were happy to Share the Love with the underdogs of Indiana County once again. We were pleased to present the Indiana County Humane Society with the 2022-2023 Subaru Share the Love® donation. This donation was made possible by new car purchases made during the Subaru Share the Love Event. Indiana County Humane Society is a non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to preventing cruelty and suffering to all animals, providing safe haven and compassion to the animals in our care, placing unwanted animals in permanent, responsible homes, investigating and prosecuting cases of animal cruelty, measurably reducing companion animal overpopulation, and taking a leadership role in promoting humane values for the benefit of all animals. Pictured in the photo from left to right is Samantha McCoy Humane Officer holding Birken an adoptable pup, Beth Finegan Executive Director/Subaru Ambassador, Barre Bell - Delaney Auto General Manager, Jack Delaney - Delaney Subaru Owner, Mark Moses - Subaru Sales Manger, and Holli Canton - Delaney Subaru Sales Associate.

Thank you to all of those who purchased in the 2022-2023 Share the Love® Event. Because of your new car purchases during this campaign, we were able to make a donation to our friends at ICCAP. Indiana County is so lucky to have this organization for all of those who need these services. For over 57 years, ICCAP has demonstrated a sustained commitment to mobilizing the necessary resources needed to empower families and individuals towards self-sufficiency. Whether it is organizing food banks, providing emergency or transitional housing for individuals without shelter, or furnishing case management services and transportation, ICCAP continues to deploy a panoply of services to those of us unfortunate enough to be economically disenfranchised from the broader community, largely through no fault of our own. ICCAP is currently in the process of opening a new and larger food bank. Pictured in the photo from left to right are Noah Stricker - Sales Associate, Holli Canton - Sales Associate, Barre Bell - Delaney Auto General Manager, Mark Moses Delaney Subaru Sales Mgr., Aimee Kemp - ICCAP Food Bank Mgr., Michelle Faught ICCAP Exec. Random Acts of Kindness come in all shapes and sizes and can help change someone's day! While they are random sometimes, they can help with something that has been being planned for a large amount of time. This year we found a group of band students in need of some additional funding for an upcoming musical trip. The reasons for why the students needed some extra help didn't matter and that's what made our trip to United High School in Indiana County a must! The Delaney Subaru team loaded up and traveled to the high school to present a monetary donation to the band to help offset their expenses. With the help of the Untied High School Principal's help, we were able to help surprise the members of the United High School band and their director!

Socks are something that most of have multiple pairs and probably don't think twice about! But for some something as simple as a new pair of socks and a smile may really change someone's day. In February we delivered 1,000 pairs of socks to Indiana County Community Actions Homeless Shelter. Statistics show that socks are the most requested and one of the most needed items at a homeless shelter. Our team was happy to make the donation knowing that a simple pair of socks would truly change someone's day! Our team also received a special pair of socks to help remind them that Delaney Subaru Loves to Help!

We are always looking for ways to support our community and our Love Promise® pillars and we absolutely love it when we can support two of them at the same time! For Betty White day in January, we had some help from our friends at Indiana County Humane Society and the students at Ben Franklin Elementary! Beth Finegan Executive Director and Subaru Ambassador and her staff at ICHS helped with these efforts also! We asked the students to write a story about caring for an animal and if they didn't have one of their own they could write about an animal at the shelter. We saw so many creative drawings and read some great stories on how to care and love animals. The students had a great time practicing their writing skills and learning more about animals and how to take care of them. Beth and the team from ICHS taught the students things like how to care for an animal and what they should do if they find a stray animal and how they can help! Together our small community came together to share the love of learning and pets! The students also made a beautiful Delaney Subaru Loves Pets® banner that is now displayed in our showroom! Thank you ICHS and Ben Franklin Elementary and great job!

We could not have found a better way to get into the holiday spirit for Christmas of 2022 and rolling into 2023 without our friends at Sunrise Human Services! An amazing group of men and women visited our showroom and helped our team decorate the showroom tree for our employees and customers to enjoy! We enjoyed spending time with each of them and shared a special sweet treat with them! Their efforts were enjoyed by all during the holiday season, and their efforts and hard work brought a smile to all who visited our showroom!

We know all the animals are at ICHS shelter are special and their adopters, this is just a way to help our continued support with our Subaru Loves Pets® Promise!

Delaney Subaru partnered with Indiana County Humane Society and sponsored the adoption of one of our "Underdogs" in honor of 2022 Make A Dog's Day and Subaru Loves Pets. Delaney Subaru sponsored the adoption of Regina, who is an older dog. Shelters often have problems adopting older dogs but we all knew Regina was something special! Regina was adopted and her adopter was honored to have her adoption fee paid for by Delaney Subaru. They also gave Regina an adoption box full of Subaru dog gear! Regina and her proud owner joined Delaney Subaru and the Indiana County Humane Society at the shelter's Top Dog Car Show on October 22 where all dogs were celebrated in honor of the 2022 Make A Dog's Day event. Overall, during the month-long adoption event the Indiana County Humane Society and Delaney Subaru helped over 28 pets find their perfect, loving homes. Like Gunner, another "Underdog" who had lived at the shelter for over 4 years and 7 months was adopted into his fur-ever home! Thanks to the whole team at Delaney Subaru who helped make this month-long adoption event a true success!

Cause For Paws 2022 is a yearly fundraising event held at Blue Spruce Park. This year Delaney Subaru was a Platinum Sponsor. We enjoyed spending the day with all the fun events and activities such as a pet parade, fun run/walk around the park, face painting, food, music, cats and dogs from ICHS, pet photos, and so much more! This year also added in activities such as Tails & Trails storytelling with Indiana Therapy Dogs and an area to shop Martin’s Merch Pet Supplies! There were also so many great adoptable pets at Blue Spruce Park that day. It was a great day supporting our friends at Indiana County Humane Society!

We were happy to Share the Love with the underdogs of Indiana County. We were pleased to present the Indiana County Humane Society with the 2021-2022 Share the Love donation. This donation was made possible by new car purchases made during the Share the Love Campaign. Thank you to all of those who purchased in the 2021-2022 Share the Love Campaign. Because of your new car purchases during this campaign, we were able to make a donation to our friends at ICCAP. Indiana County is so lucky to have this organization for all of those who need these services. For over 56 years, ICCAP has demonstrated a sustained commitment to mobilizing the necessary resources needed to empower families and individuals towards self-sufficiency. Our Earth Day Celebrations for 2022 may be over for the year, but our commitment to Love the Earth here at Delaney Subaru will continue throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Walk to White's Wood Event and who to everyone who stopped in and picked up some trees or wildflower seeds to plant! We enjoyed sharing our commitment to Love the Earth and make it a better place. Every action we take to save our Earth is a plus big or small! Enjoy the slide show with some pics of our weekend events! #lovestheearth22 #delaneysubaru

We had a great day meeting the Auto Tech class at Lenape Tech and presenting them with a used Subaru to use as a teaching car in their shop. This Subaru will allow the current and future students a hands-on teaching experience and take their training to a whole new level! Maybe we will have some future Subaru Technicians after the students learn more about the Subaru brand and our products? This donation allows us to share the love with our community and showcase our commitment to our Loves Learning pillar, two of our favorites! #subaruloveslearning #delaneysubaru

We were honored to sponsor the Chris Perondi's Stunt Dog Experience Show for Indiana County. We had a great day at KCAC hanging out with Stunt Dog Show Productions! We were happy to sponsor this event so that all proceeds would benefit our hometown heroes at Indiana County Humane Society and Four Footed Friends! A huge shout out to Sheriff Fyock and his K9 partner Kort and Indiana’s Borough Police Sargent Jeff and his K9 Officer Axel for spending the day with us also! The show was amazing and all of the dogs were great and don’t forget every dog that performed came from a rescue center! Thank you to everyone that purchased a ticket, bought raffle tickets, or made a donation. All proceeds are greatly appreciated by both shelters listed and will be put to good use right here in Indiana County. Thank you to KCAC and their crew for all of their hard work to get the event ready! This event was a huge event because of you and we were proud to be a part of it with you!

On a chilly morning in February we decided to surprise our very own Hometown Heroes in Indiana County. For Random Acts of Kindness Day 2022 we once again loaded up a Subaru with some goodies from Dunkin Donuts and share them with all of Indiana County's First Responders. We had so much fun surprising everyone and thanking them for the job they do to keep Indiana County safe. We even had the great pleasure of meeting two of the finest K9 officers out there and made sure they were also rewarded for their service to the community with a K9 safe treat. Delaney Subaru would like to thank everyone who is a first responder for their services to the community they live in.

We were once again happy to sponsor the Annual Pine Wood Derby with the local Boy Scout Troops of Indiana County. The Scouts did a great job designing their derby cars. A huge shout out to all of the Scout leaders and volunteers who make this opportunity available for our local youth. Keep up the good work maybe we have some future Subaru car designers in this bunch!

We were happy to be able to finally be paired up and helping with our friends from American Red Cross again. After a reschedule due to a winter storm we were able to help host a very successful blood drive. We only had 25 scheduled donors and our goal was to have 55 units of lifesaving blood units. To our surprise and appreciation, we had a total of 78 donors and unfortunately had to turn donors away because we ran out of collection supplies and time. We are grateful to have this partnership with Karen and her team from the Red Cross. Thank you to all of the donors for braving the cold and all of the American Red Cross team for all of their hard work and dedication to our community! We look forward to continuing to work with the Red Cross to make a difference and help save lives!

In consideration of the previous year and the effect it had taken on our local community Delaney Subaru collected items for two local organizations that are there for anyone when they need it most. A food and supply drive benefiting Indiana County Humane Society and ICCAP's foodbank was held starting in November running through the end of year in 2021. We collected nonperishable food items, paper goods, cleaning supplies, pet foods, kitty litter, pet toys, leashes, collars, & office supplies for both of these local charities. Donations were dropped off at the showroom or service drive. All of the donations will stay in Indiana County. Thank you to those who donated to make this drive a success! Additionally thank you to the volunteers at both of these organizations who are truly the everyday hometown hero's helping those in need when they need it the most right here in our neighborhood!

Delaney Subaru is proud to announce that as part of our Love Promise commitment we partnered with AdoptAClassroom.org as our new Subaru Loves Learning partner. Through the partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Delaney Subaru we were able to help supply classrooms locally at Ben Franklin Elementary. Ben Franklin recently built a beautiful outdoor learning space for their students. The monetary donation that was made was able to help one classroom for every grade at Ben Franklin to help with all types of learning supplies for their new outdoor classroom space. We enjoyed the day meeting Ben Franklin's awesome staff and students and how they intend to use their new outdoor space. Adopting classrooms At Ben Franklin through Subaru Loves Learning is just one of the ways we are doing even more this year to make a difference.

We had a great visit with our friends at Indiana County Humane Society. We dropped off some donations and met some adoptable pets. As always Samantha the Humane Officer and her team work alongside these pets to provide them a new forever home. Beth Finegan the new Executive Director is doing a great job leading the team and keeping the day to day operations in check. Samantha, Beth, and the entire team do a great job and we are proud to share in this partnership with local shelter and help make a difference in the local underdogs. We reached our goal of 31pets in 31 days and 40 total pets were adopted in October.

During the month of October, the Indiana County Humane Society adopted 40 animals to their fur-ever homes. The success of our October adoption event was directly tied to our partnership with Delaney Subaru who supported us with social media postings and promotions. We’d like to share a story of one of our dogs from our shelter family that was adopted during October’s Subaru Loves Pets event – a long-term resident at the shelter, a bull mastiff named Stormy. Stormy became homeless in April of 2018 as a result of her owner surrendering her to the shelter. For the next 3 years our shelter staff took care of Stormy – every day feeding her, walking her, playing with her, exercising her, washing her sleeping blankets and bed, and taking her to the vet for appointments. This October, Stormy’s adoptive family walked into her life, and she walked into their lives. It was a match made in heaven. Here's a photo of Stormy and a letter from her family that truly expresses why our staff and volunteers do what they do at the Indiana County Humane Society. We are grateful for the ongoing support and generosity of Delaney Subaru and are thrilled to share Stormy’s successful adoption into her fur-ever home.

We had the great pleasure of delivering blankets to ICCAP Homeless Shelter as part of our Subaru Loves to Help local initiative. Last November, Subaru dealers delivered a total of 50,000 blankets to homeless shelters in November of 2020. This year we are joining forces again and are proud to be part of the local delivery to be part of the 100,000 blankets being delivered this November across the country. We would like to give a special shout out to Vicki and her team at the ICCAP office who are helping local individuals daily right here in Indiana County go through one of the toughest times in their lives. Through the Subaru Love Promise we had the pleasure of dropping off over 100 warm blankets on November 17th to the Indiana County Community Action Program, Inc Homeless Shelter as we recognize National Homeless Youth Awareness Month. More than 500,000 Americans experience homelessness each night and as we enter the season of giving and nights get colder, we know the blankets will be very much needed and used right here in Indiana County. Pictured are Andy Gnibus Sales Associate at Delaney Subaru, Vickie Allen ICCAP Shelter Director, and Barre Bell General Manager Delaney Automotive Group. It takes a community to help those in need. Delaney Subaru has made it clear that they are invested in keeping the Indiana, PA area the best it can be. Again this year they collected supplied for the Indiana County Humane Society during the Subaru Loves Pets Event in October 2020. These donations, including food, bedding, toys, and cleaning supplies, are going to helping over 100 homeless animals that have been given a second chance at life.
Kelly L.

Delaney Subaru once again partnered with the Indiana Regional Medical Center (IRMC) to donate blankets and messages of hope to cancer patients undergoing treatment in the Indiana, PA, area. The team at Delaney saw the need to make patients more comfortable during treatment, and worked together in conjunction with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as part of the “Subaru Loves to Care” program this summer. The goal of the program is to help people live healthier lives. The staff at IRMC was excited to receive the 80 blankets, delivered with care by Delaney Subaru General Manager Barre Bell, Subaru Delivery Specialist Anna Mensch, and team member Kelly Lute. The blankets will be helpful because many patients get cold due to their condition or as a side effect of their medication. IRMC is less than 10 minutes from the dealership, meaning that Delaney Subaru was able to give this gift to their neighbors in their time of need. All of us at the Western PA & WV Chapter of LLS are extremely grateful to Delaney Subaru and Subaru of America for partnering with us to spread love, hope, and warmth to cancer patients right here in our own hometowns. This was the third year that Delaney Subaru generously partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) on their month-long “Subaru Loves to Care” program. On June 25, Delaney Subaru Sales Consultants Joshua Fulton and Xavier Alarcon had the opportunity to deliver donated blankets and arts and crafts kits to Indiana Regional Medical Center (IRMC) in Indiana, PA. Staff members from the hospital and Indiana Healthcare Foundation later distributed the care packages to patients receiving cancer treatment at IRMC. Delaney provided 80 blankets and 10 arts and crafts kits to make treatment more comfortable for people receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatment at the hospital. The blankets will provide warmth to patients who get cold during treatment, and the art kits can be used by any children receiving treatment or who accompany their parents or family members to oncology appointments. The staff of IRMC was greatly appreciative of Delaney’s contribution, saying that they were honored to be chosen as a partner to receive the blankets and art kits again. Their patients always mention how much they love the gifts, especially the cozy throw blankets. Many thanks to everyone at Delaney Subaru and IRMC for their help, and for supporting LLS’s mission to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. While looking for a new Subaru, my sales consultant shared with me how Subaru of America and Delaney Subaru gives back to the community they work in. Bruce explained that during Subaru's "Share the Love Event", Delaney Subaru utilized it's sales efforts and Subaru of America's generosity to provide the "Visiting Nurse Association of Indiana County" with a charitable contribution of $1,833.31. Being a traveling nurse, I truly understand how important it is to those individuals on the mend to have the ability to stay in their homes while receiving the much needed health care they require during the healing process.

Subaru of America Inc. and Delaney Subaru recently presented a check to the Visiting Nurse Association of Indiana County Inc. Hopeful Hearts Services, which was a partner in the 2013 Subaru Share the Love event. A check for $1,833.31 was recently presented to Hopeful Hearts Services by John J. Delaney, dealer principal, Delaney Subaru. From Nov. 21, 2013, to Jan. 2, 2014, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from SOA. This year, Subaru of America Inc. donated $10 million to participating charities. Over the past six years, SOA has donated $35 million to a number of worthy causes through the Share the Love event. SOA selected the five national charities: ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals On Wheels Association of America, National Park Foundation and Teach for America. Subaru retailers could also elect to add a sixth, local charity and Delaney Subaru selected Hopeful Hearts Services as its local partner.
Zelma B.
We had met Zelma on her way home from a family reunion. She is not from our area, living 3 hours away in Coudersport, Pa. Upon finding the Forester here she said she loved the vehicle, only needing a night to think of her finally purchase price. The next day she was ready to buy, but with no family around her or her trading in she could not find a ride to our store. We weren't willing to allow that distance to stop Zelma from enjoying her 2015 Subaru Forester from us, so we had arranged for a dealership representative to personally pick her up at her home. The look on Zelma's face from when she'd first saw the Forester on arrival to when she left shortly after leave the business office made all the efforts worth while.
